ORGANIZATION

Institutional work in the early years was carried out by individual branch churches. Over the years it became evident that they could best serve local institutions when they were organized into committees.

LOCAL COMMITTEES
These committees are comprised of branch church delegates. Their function is to provide support and guidance to chaplains and workers and to advise their church memberships of committee needs. The committee interviews and recommends applicants for chaplaincy. They publish the results of healing activity at fruitage meetings for the public.

THE STATE COMMITTEE
Nine members act as liaisons from this committee to the local committees throughout the State. Its function is to coordinate the activities of the local committees and to act as a single voice when communicating with institutional authorities. It maintains a Procedure Handbook used by chaplains, workers and local committee representatives in carrying out the work. Periodic regional workshops are produced by the State Committee to provide fresh inspiration at all levels of the activity. A full time headquarters office and secretary are maintained.
